When you play content from within Scout by selecting Play you lose the abilioty to use Roku remote control functions within Netflix. In other words, once the program opens in Netflix and starts playing, you cannot pause, rewind, fast forward, etc. The only remote function that seems to work is the home function to exit Netflix and return to the Roku Home screen.
Yes, this is a bug, but unfortunately it's not caused by Scout. The issue is actually with Netflix itself. For some reason, they time out and disallow any remote commands to come through. This seems to happen after about 30 minutes of inactivity from the Netflix app (since it's one of the few apps that actually run in the background on the Roku player).
You can see this by performing a normal Roku Search and selecting a title to open in Netflix. You'll notice that you will not be able to use any other button but the Home button. We have submitted this to Roku and they do know it occurs but since it's Netflix's app, Netflix needs to fix it. We're hoping they have an update in a future release soon.
The only workaround at the moment is to hit the home button, then open up Netflix and you'll be back exactly where you left off.
Thanks
