Hey there
How come the pause, rewind and fast forward buttons seem to be disabled when choosing Netflix movies/shows from your Roku app? I have a Roku 3, with the current update.

This is a bug with the Roku system itself. We're going to add it to the FAQs soon. We've been working with them and they've told us there is a bug present that they are trying to get fixed.
What happens is, the Netflix app will go to sleep. Then if you try to launch a movie, whether from Scout, Roku's built in Search, or even the Roku Mobile App on iOS or Android, the same issue occurs. The only button will be the home button.
The only fix for right now is to open the Netflix app, make sure it's not a dim screen (just push any button) then go back into Scout.
Hopefully Roku will have a solution for this quickly and we're sorry about any inconveniences it causes you.
